William Tenenbaum is the Founder and Managing Partner of Lodestone Global a selective consulting practice which focuses on business strategy with an emphasis on pragmatic execution and corporate governance, often for family-owned companies.
William inherited a passion for advisory boards and using governance as a strategic weapon from his late father Bernie. In his lifetime, Bernie had been a member of over 70 boards of directors.
Together, William and Bernie founded Lodestone Global in 2013 and since then, have assembled, consulted with, or been a member of over 100 advisory boards. The advisory boards extend across a number of industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, real estate, food & beverage, retail, technology, wholesale, industrials & materials and conglomerates. Lodestone Global's client Diesco, Ltd. won the 2017 Private Company Advisory Board Of The Year award given by Private Company Director, Directors and Boards and Family Business magazines.
William's background is in the asset management industry where he manages a ~$1bn portfolio of primarily public investments for a multi-billion dollar hedge fund, Scopia Capital. William has extensive experience analyzing a myriad of industries and business models. Oftentimes, William will work directly with management to help clarify their strategic objectives to drive growth in profitability and overall enterprise value.
William is an advisory board member for Skyline Technology a parent company of two promising Virtual & Augmented Reality (VR/AR) applications in the Fintech and Healthcare industries. Skyline is developing VR/AR solutions for large investment banks to streamline FX and Swap trading, institutional client interaction and records compliance. Skyline has also built a VR/AR rotary rehabilitation platform that allows patients to recover more quickly and in the comfort of their homes after major surgery.
William is a board member for the Morristown Medical Goryeb Children's Hospital, supporting the growth of the state-of-the-art pediatric care center. Finally, he is a member of the board of directors for NYU Stern’s Investment Analysis Group.
William is a graduate from the Leonard N. Stern Business School at NYU with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in East Asian Studies. He currently lives in NJ with his wife Aileen and daughter Aila.
