Mr. Kothari sat on the Board of Kuhlman Electric Corporation, a $500M industrial company with 800 employees that was owned by the Carlyle Group. During his two years on the board the company went from $5M in EBITDA to $75M and was sold for a 10x return, after previously being written off to zero, earning it turnaround deal of the year.
In other roles with other private equity owned companies Rahul acted as CEO, CFO, head of M&A, and sat on various executive committees where he advised on strategic planning, business development procurement/operations and human resources. As a result Mr. Kothari has acquired a broad perspective on how to help businesses improve and grow both organically and inorganically.
In addition, Rahul currently serves or did serve on the Boards of Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, the Miami Children’s Museum, the Children’s Museum of the Arts in New York, the Positivity Project, City Science and the Collective Success Network.
